There Are Things Too Marvelous To Be Spoken Of

I Am Awake, Imperfect

I Am Awake, Imperfect: Twelve wonderful poems by Boston poet Alfred Corn, with drawn symbols by Havana, Cuba artist Desbel Alvarez Guerrero. The book was letterpress printed on Arches Text papers, and hardbound in cloth-over-boards in an edition of 39 numbered copies, 5.5 x 9”, all by Steve K. Miller in the Summer of 2026. One thing that is quite special about this book is that Desbel wanted to work with the poems in spite of the fact that electricity is challenging in Havana. If it’s available at all it may be for less than two hours a day. The artist created 13 unique symbols from his reading of the poems, and his philosophical readings. Once done he used his cellphone to take a photo of the symbol and send it to Steve. $125
